BAKE SALE - 703 Students will be having a Bake Sale on Tuesday, May 21 during lunch to help support their Environmental Action Plans.

Chess Club - There is a Chess Club being held from May 21 - 24 in room 302 during lunch.  Come check it out!  If you don't know how to play, the students hosting can teach you.  Prizes can be won with a tournament 22-24!!

Gr. 7 & 8 Chromebooks will be collected the end of May

Bottle Drive - Please bring in recycleables before May 24th to help the Grade 9 Citizenship Class raise funds for a charity in the community.

Supplies Drive for Hope for Wildlife - This is a Grade 9 Citizenship project!  If you can donate non-perishable items like gas cards and stamps, please bring to Mrs. Roger's room 302.  If you want to donate perishable tiems like fruit and eggs, please bring items straight to Hope for Wildlife and label on the package "Gaetz Brook Junior High Suppiies drive for Hope for Wildlife"

REMINDERS:

Please eat your lunch in the Cafeteria only and please don't take any food out of the Cafeteria.

Students riding bikes to school are reminded that the parking lot is very busy! 

Please don't ride other students' bikes (especially at the end of the day & morning around the buses!)

Germ Prevention: Lots of students and staff have been out sick. Remember to wash your hands!

Student Demographic Updates:  Visit the PowerSchool Parent Portal at https://sishrsb.ednet.ns.ca/public/

From inside the Parent Portal:
1. Select the student you wish to register along the top
2. Select the "HRCE Demographic Updates" icon from the Navigation menu on the left side
3. Enter the Date of Birth
4. Complete the form

Reminder that the school is nut sensitive AND scent free - please be aware of the sprays and scents
that you use in the school and washrooms.
